This left us with the GE Profile 30" Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel Freestanding Gas Range, Café 30" Stainless Steel Free Standing Gas Range, Maytag 30" Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel Freestanding Gas Range, and Whirlpool 30" Stainless Steel Free Standing Gas Range. Here’s how the GE JGB735SPSS Range compares to each of these similar models:
GE 30” Range (JGB735SPSS) vs. GE Profile™ Range (PGB935YPFS)
Unlike the GE JGB735SPSS Range, the GE Profile PGB935YPFS Range includes built-in Wi-Fi, GE Profile Connect+, a reversible grill/griddle, an extra oven rack, and 0.6 more cubic feet in space. The oven is designed with True European Convection—an advanced convection system with a higher level of precision (the other GE model has a basic convention system). Even though the GE PGB935YPFS Range includes more features, it is a bit more expensive than the GE JGB735SPSS.
GE 30” Range (JGB735SPSS) vs. Café™ Range (CGB500P2MS1)
The Café Range is similar to the GE Profile Range in that it includes Wi-Fi, a reversible grill/griddle, True European Convection, Chef Connect (a way to synchronize appliance clocks and lights), and 5.6 cubic feet of oven space. Like the GE Gas Range, it offers a steam self-clean option, an edge-to-edge cooktop, and versatile burners. The Café Range exterior is a bit more elegant but overall, it does not include that much more than the GE Gas Range, yet is about $600 more in price.
GE 30” Range (JGB735SPSS) vs. Maytag® Range (MGR7700LZ)
The Maytag Range is designed like the GE 30” Range with 5.0 cubic feet of space and similar features. Even so, the GE Gas Range offers just a bit more than the Maytag: griddle, steam self-clean option, and the ability to air fry without a basket. The Maytag is just slightly less expensive than the GE Gas Range, so they are the most comparable models on the market that we know of.
GE 30” Range (JGB735SPSS) vs. Whirlpool® Range (WFG535S0LS)
Compared to the GE Gas Range, the Whirlpool Range is similar although it’s missing some of the best features of the GE Gas Range. For example, the Whirlpool Power Burner is only powered by 15,000 BTUs unlike GE’s 18,000-BTU Power Burner. The Whirlpool Range can air-fry but it doesn’t have the option to self-clean with steam like the GE Gas Range does. Finally, there’s a 5th burner but there isn’t a griddle included. All that to say, the Whirlpool Range is slightly costlier than the GE.
